Profile of Dr. S. Subba Rao

Educational Qualifications: M.A. (Politics), Ph.D., B.L., M.A. (English)

Dr. S. Subba Rao has got his Masters Degree in Political Science from Nagarjuna University, A.P. and was awarded Doctorate Degree in Political Science by Andhra Univeristy. The topic of his Ph.D. thesis is United Nations Peace Keeping Operations-A Study . He also has got his Bachelors Degree in Law and Masters Degree in English from Andhra University. He worked for more than Seventeen Years as Lecturer in Political Science in Sir C.R.R. Law College, A.P., and for Seven Years as Faculty member in the Department of Political Science in Andhra University Campus, Vizianagaram. From there he moved and joined in School of Law, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam as Assistant Professor of Political Science and after serving the institution for a brief period of Ten Months joined the Tamil Nadu National Law School in August 2013 as Assistant Professor of Political Science. During his nearly Twenty Seven Years of teaching career he has participated in several National and International Conferences/Seminars and Presented Papers, Published a Book and Several Chapters in different Books and Articles in Journals of National and International repute. He also has acted as Course writer to M.A. Political Science, School of Distance Education, Andhra University and to M.A. Political Science, School of Distance Education, Acharya Nagarjuna University, A.P., and wrote a number of lessons in different Papers of Political Science such as Theory of International Relations, Indias Foreign Policy, Indian Political Thought and Western Political Thought. His areas of Interest are International Relations and Indias Foreign Policy. • Co-Authored a Book titled Gandhi, Peace and Journalism along with Prof. B.S.R. Anjaneyulu, Prof. D.V.R. Murthy and Prof. A.B.S.V. Ranga Rao.

(2) Participated in an international seminar on “SAARC: towards a greater connectivity” organised by the centre for SAARC studies, Andhra university Visakhapatnam, AP, during march 2-3 2010 and presented paper on “ china emerging role in south Asia- implication for India”


National seminars

(1) Participated in a national workshop on “ environmental justice and constitutional jurisprudence “ jointly organised by NALSAR university of law , Hyderabad and faculty of Andhra Pradesh , Vishakhapatnam on 28th and 29th march 2002 at Andhra Pradesh university and presented a paper on “ The role of upper house”


(2) Participated in a national seminar organised by sir C.R.R.P.G centre ,eluru, A.P and sponsored by U.G.C SERO (south eastern regional office), Hyderabad on 27th and 28th of July 2005 on the topic “ Human rights in India “ – CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS “ and presented a paper titled “ Role of supreme court in the protection of human rights in India.”
